
Islamic Studies for Al-Azhar Students
The curriculum and course of Islamic sciences for Al-Azhar students aim to teach students at different levels the Islamic sciences specific to each stage. From the first year of preparatory school to the third year of secondary school, they study the fundamentals of religion, including Tawheed (Islamic monotheism), Tafsir (Quranic exegesis), Hadith (Prophetic traditions), and Seerah (biography of the Prophet). In advanced stages, they study Islamic culture, inheritance laws, and the doctrines of the four schools of Fiqh (Islamic jurisprudence), including Shafi’i, Hanbali, Maliki, and Hanafi, using modern and developed methods.

The science of inheritance (Fara'id) and the distribution of estates (Tarkat), the deduction of inheritance principles, and practical rules for determining who inherits and who does not
